Transportation in Gaborone

Gaborone runs on a network of shared minibus taxis and metered cabs. The minibuses are the everyday workhorse: they follow fixed routes radiating from the Main Mall and the Station, cost a fraction of a private taxi, and leave when full. For door-to-door comfort, metered taxis queue at major hotels and malls; they're a splurge but useful after dark or when you're loaded with luggage.
